Thank You for your Continued Interest.
A note about next weeks posting.
Our web blast e-mail list has chimed in and asked when we are going
to e-mail out a list. Well, we have decided to do next weeks posting
exclusively via e-mail.
If you have not signed up to receive our e-mail blast you can do so
by clicking the icon below. It only takes a moment and will get you
access to early postings and special e-mail only deals.
We will e-blast our next posting sometime late next week.
Now
- On with the Show

Here is how this works. We
are starting with a total of 154 K-98 rifles. Each day ( Or As Time
Allows ) we will post a few of these rifles up for sale on this page.
As they sell, we will do our best to mark them sold immediately so
you will know what is available.. This is a time consuming process
but we are convinced that it is the fairest way to sell this very
limited quantity of K-98 Rifles. If we get covered up busy we may
have to suspend daily posting until we get caught up.
We know we will sell out of these anyway and we simply can't sacrifice
other business to be in a rush to sell K-98"s
If you see us suspend posting for a day or two please just be patient
and keep checking back.
One Request - Please don't call our operators and ask what will be
going up next or try to pre-buy. They honestly have no idea what is
available or what price they will be at. Only our website guy sees
these before they post and he has his hands full just grading and
posting them.
About the rifles. These rifles will all be Russian Capture rifles
of various manufacturers, dates and conditions.
All German Marking will still be intact with no markings peened out.
Russian captures typically will have electro pencil or etched markings
on the bolts and floorplates etc however, if #'s factory match I will
make an effort to either show it in the photo of list it in the discription.
We are adding cleaning rods to all rifles and capture screws, and
site hoods where appropriate. The cleaning rods, capture screws and
sight hoods are aftermarket but look and work just like the original.

About Our Grading - We will do our best to give you an accurate portrayal
of each rifle and the their condition.
We will be using an NRA grading standard as well as comparing them
against general standards of K-98 rifles that we have seen over the
last 20 or so years. Over the years we have graded literally thousands
of K-98's and are very well versed as to how any particular rifle
stacks up against K-98's normal surplus condition. Having said that,
if you are looking for a rifle that looks like a brand new commercially
made Belgian Browning, then please do not order one of these. These
are Russian Capture Military surplus K-98 rifles that are 70 to 80
years old on average. They have been carried and used and have their
fair share of battle scars to prove it. However, these are highly
functional , extremely collectible rifles that have a tremendous amount
of history behind them. They will go fast.

A word about future availability. We have these 154 for now and we
have also put in a bid on approximately 200 more that an importer
had been sitting on a small lot and premiered at The Shot Show in
Vegas earlier this year.
We have bid a premium on the ones we found available at Shot because
we know the extent to which these rifles have dried up. These additional
rifles may or may not end up with us but even if they do the prices
will be higher than what you see in this original batch. As I said,
we bid a premium price and are just hoping like heck that we can get
them. Otherwise additional K-98 rifles coming into country looks extremely
doubtful.
From what we are told all Arsenals now seem to be depleted.

-
Mfg S/243, 1938, Laminated,
Flat. Laminated stock is solid and will re-finish nicely but right
now is covered with that awful heavy laquer the Russians loved to
use. What looks like a rough texture in the photo is actually laquer
that is raised up and flaking off. Flat buttplate, nice deep considtant
blue. Dual weimers and several factory war bird waffenamps. serial
#'s factory match on bbl, rec, and stock. Bore shows use and is a
little chalky but still strong lands and grooves. NRA good. Comes
complete with cleaning rod and capture screws.

matches on bbl, rec, and stock. Dual war eagles plus waffens and bbl

BYF- Dated 1943

cleaned off. Flat buttplate. Dual war eagles plus receiver waffen.
Rifle is slotted for sight hood so comes with hood as well as cleaning
rod and capture screws.
Bore is quite nice, A little course right at the the chamber end but

rifle. Black walnut hardwood stock with a nice grain and color contrast.

and this is a nice one. Deep, Dark really smooth blue. Dual war eagles
plus 3 waffenamps. Rifle is slotted for sight hood so comes with sight
hood and cleaning rod as well as capture screws.

Mfg
BCD - Dated 1941

-
BCD, 1941, Laminated, Flat - Although the picture looks
like my Aunt Gertrude, this is actually a pretty nice rifle. The stock
is solid and almost void of dents and dings. Unfortunately it is also
covered with that ugly heavy red Russian laquer. I complain about
this laquer all the time but it does serve it's purpose and protects
the stocks. This should make a great re-finish. Nice deep really consistant
blue. Dual prominant war eagles and loads of bbl stampings and waffens.
Serial #'s factory match on bbl, rec, and stock.
Bore is really nice. Shows light use but clean and shiney with strong
lands and grooves. NRA VG/Ex... Rifle is grooved for sight hood so
comes with hood and cleaning rod and capture screws.

BCD,1943, Laminated, Cupped. This rifle is so similar
in discription to the one above that I am just going to copy and paste
that discription here. The only real difference is that this one has
a heavy blued cupped buttplate.

Mfg
S/42 - Dated 1936
-
S/42, 1936, Laminated, Flat. This is a really nice
early pre-war rifle from the original Mauser factory. Laminated stock
is solid with good color and grain. Flat buttplate. Really pretty
deep dark blue. Serial #'s factory match on bbl, rec, and stock.
Dual Weimer eagles (one was missed in the photo but is just ahead
of the bbl serial # ) and 3 factory falcons. Bore on this rifle is
really nice, especially for an earlier rifle. Bright with strong sharp
lands and grooves. NRA very good plus... Bottom side of bolt is flattened
and knurled like they did on the snipers to aid in grip and rapid
cycling of bolt. Don't know the significance to this rifle but it
is nice. Will make an excellent carry/shooter.
Comes complete with cleaning rod and capture screws.
